SpaceX’s prepares to launch its first Starship mission to Mars by 2024

The rapid population growth of the human race continues to strain the natural resources provided by Earth. The planet resources such as land are scarce, putting the human race at the risk of gradual extinction. Humankind opted to explore other planets that would support life. The goal of establishing a permanent human presence in outer space will happen sooner than anticipated. Technological improvements in the space industry boost the strategies for attaining humanity’s vision for life on Mars. Successful space missions to the red planet motivated scientists and astronauts to collaborate and develop better space equipment to send people to live and work on Mars.

Space companies continue to receive huge investments for state governments, independent investors, and space agencies to plan, develop, and deploy space technologies. Enhancements on spacecraft and launch vehicles increase their resistance to harsh environments in space. Research studies recently identified some exoplanets with the most unfavorable living conditions.

Elon Musk’s space corporations plan to commence developing its huge launch vehicle, the Starship rocket. SpaceX prepares to start construction of the rocket that will help humanity establish a permanent residence on Mars. The human settlement aims to ease the challenges of overpopulation on Earth. Elon announced that his company schedules its pioneer mission to Mars by 2024; the trip will carry no crew to the planet. Initially, SpaceX inaugurated a space mission to Mars to collect samples from the planet’s surface to the soil and rock materials’ resourcefulness. Another private developer of space technologies plans to send CubeSats to evaluate Mars’ atmospheric condition in relation to radiation from the Sun. The mission plans to ascertain the interactions between solar energy and the wind speed and directions.

SpaceX stated that the plans for its mission to Mars are on track. Elon Musk, the SpaceX’s Chief executive, announced progress during the International Mars Society Convention held on October 16. Musk told Robert Zubrin, the founder of Mars Society, that there are possibilities for its success. Cutting-edge space technologies provide the mission to Mars fair ability to strive for success. The window of possibilities is a rare opportunity that happens after 26 months. This year’s successful launches include NASA’s, UAE, and China’s missions to the red planet, in July 2020. Musk said that the next window of success opens by 2022.

The mission to Mars will use SpaceX’s Starship launch vehicles that plan to utilize one of the reusable rocket-and-spacecraft, currently under improvement and development at a facility in South Texas. In conclusion, SpaceX’s lunar mission is on track scheduled for launch in 2022, alongside other missions around Earth.
